I'm walking 30 miles in September

I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Twisted knee 27.9.25

Friday 26th Sep
Hi everyone
I've done something to my knee - just moved awkwardly in bed and it's twisted it somehow. It feels like my knee will give way when I'm walking. Luckily I've already reached to 30 miles target and achieved 38 miles for September raised £63.
Not a massive amount but every £ helps.

Hit the target 30 miles today

Thursday 18th Sep
I've now walked the 30 miles but I'll carry on just to challenge myself further.
Walking for health to keep dementia at bay - with several elderly relatives having suffered dementia in their final years I'm aware I'm more susceptible to getting it myself.
One day they will find a cure. They have to....

Doddington Hall parkrun walked

Saturday 6th Sep
Parkrun Saturday and I volunteered as parkwalker.
56:30 time.

Day 2

Wednesday 3rd Sep
1.5 miles

1st September!

Monday 1st Sep
Day 1 of the challenge and I'm ready for today's walk!
30 miles in 30 days doesn't sound like a lot but with arthritis and fibromyalgia as well as being overweight it's a challenge for me. This will kick start my motivation to move more and eat better.  It's also in recognition of several relatives who have lived/live with this terrible disease.
