I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK
This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Monday 1st Jun Day 28, final walk for the month as really need to rest my feet now x

Thursday 28th May Day 27 done, well done everyone that is still managing to get a walk in during this hot spell 🥵 x

Tuesday 26th May Day 26 done, didn’t manage very far today due to traveling x

Tuesday 26th May Day 25 done, managed to reach my distance goal of 3 miles a day but will keep going x

Sunday 24th May Day 23 done, stubbed toe so cut my walk short, makes a change from blisters I suppose x

Monday 11th May Day 11 done, shortest distance so far due to even more blisters ☹️ may have to miss tomorrow depending on how they are in the morning x

Sunday 10th May Day 9 done, goal reached but will keep going to see how many I can do x

Saturday 9th May Day 8 done, another blister popped today so another one cut short x

Thursday 7th May Day 5 done, just as I thought I was starting to manage all the blisters my toe started to bleed so had to cut todays walk short x

Wednesday 6th May Day 6 done but may have to do less tomorrow because my feet are starting to protest x

Tuesday 5th May Day 5 done, not as far as I would’ve liked but trying to protect my feet x
Day 4
Monday 4th May Day 4 done, must be walking different due to the heel blisters as have another one now on the bottom of my foot x

Sunday 3rd May Day 3 done, thank you for all the support and kind messages, plenty of antiseptic cream for my blisters got me through x
Day 2
Saturday 2nd May Day 2 done, not as far as I would’ve liked but both blisters now popped and got a bit sore towards the end x
