I'm walking 150 miles in May for Dementia UK.

My Dad was diagnosed with early-onset Dementia in 2020.  

This was a shock to our family as my Dad Terry was always sharp as a tack.  Those that know my dad will testify that he was always the funny quick witted and overall good laugh in the room.  He is a character, and still is to this day, although not as sharp as he was.

 Although a shock to the family.  Terry being Terry has met this horrible disease head on, with good humour and humility.  

As a family we have began to realise just how cruel this disease is with the normal not being so normal anymore, and the things you take for granted not being present.  We have other family members that suffer and its absolutely devastating. 

It has been so frustrating not being able to help him and those that suffer.  In light of this I have set myself a challenge to walk 150 miles in May to raise money.  With my dodgy knees this will be a challenge and some. 

The money raised will go towards supporting  families affected by dementia in order to  get the specialist help and advice they need.

 I would be grateful for your support.

Knee strap support on tonight and went on a little  5 mile jaunt to test it. Seems to aid the dodgy knee. Years have footy wear and tear has took its toll.
