I'm walking 30 miles in September

I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Walk 4 mum

Tuesday 2nd Sep
First day was fine. Walked 2 miles but not so easy today. Was awake during the night with chronic cramps in feet and legs due to pushing it yesterday so been more careful today but done day 2 anyway. Im doing for mum who is in care now with vascular dementia & psychosis which has made it a challenging  3 years. She spends most days just walking up & down the hallways even though her feet & legs are swollen with cellulitis and she doesnt sleep. So i am joining her in the walking  although i have my own mobility issue so i say 👣🫂 i am there with you mum, wherever you are.
