I'm walking 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK

This January, I'm walking 50 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Hi all

Thank you all so much for your donations, I have walked 30 miles now and I aim to have this finished by this Thursday 23rd January!
I wanted to push myself for this challenge as much as I could as it’s close to my heart, I wanted to struggle and I have  haha
I have done 30 miles in 8 days!

Anyone who knows me knows I chose this charity as my poor grandad suffered with this awful disease and near the end of his life in 2024 he really struggled, for me and my family who had to see  these changes was heartbreaking but nothing to what he was going through every day!

My grandad was tough, stubborn, full of life, fun, extremely hard working and loved his family so much! 
He was a real character, and we all miss him so so much but we all know he is at peace now and with his wife who he missed dearly and daily!

Every hill I climb and there has been a few I imagine him stood at the top saying “come on your lazy cow, stop moaning and get it done”

So again thank you all so much for your kind donations.
