Dementia

Monday 29th Sep

Losing someone you love to dementia is one of the most heartbreaking experiences imaginable. It’s not just the loss of their memories, is the slow and painful loss of person you once knew so well and watching them fade away more and more each day.

Dementia slowly took away pieces of the man we all loved so dearly, his memories, his independence, and eventually, his ability to recognize the faces of those who never stopped loving him. He was and will always be one of the most important people in my life.

My grandad fought for 8 years against Dementia, and we will all be forever grateful for the care and support we was given throughout those years, it’s a hard battle for someone to fight and an even harder battle for family members and friends to watch knowing there is nothing they can do.

Watching someone you love fade away like that is something no family should have to face alone. If you can, please consider making a donation, no matter how small. Every pound helps provide care, guidance, and hope to families facing the same heartbreak we did.
