Walk 50 Miles in January 2026

Dementia

As many of you know, we lost my wonderful Grampa to dementia in 2023. Watching this cruel disease slowly take him was heartbreaking, and no family should have to face that journey alone.
This January, I’m walking 50 miles to raise funds for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity. I’m taking on this challenge in his memory, and to help support other families going through what we did.
Any donation, big or small, truly makes a difference. Just £33 could fund a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour supporting a family in their community — offering practical advice and emotional support to help them cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Lurgy has hit!

Monday 5th Jan
Well i just wanted to give everyone an update on how many miles I've managed so far..... well the answer is none, I've been struck down by the lurgy since New Year which is killing me...note to self never refuse the flu jab!!! I hope to on the mend soon and ready to embark on this challenge and will hit 50 miles by 31st January! For now though I'm listening to my body and taking it easy!
