I'm walking 62 Miles in October

I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Fundraiser in Memory of Paddy Saunders

Friday 3rd Oct
Hello everyone. This month, I will be walking 62 Miles in October in memory of my late Grandfather, Paddy Saunders. He was diagnosed with Vascular Dementia at the age 79 and passed away at the age of 89 after spending 7 years in residential care.

My grandfather was born on 6th March 1931 into a working class family in North Belfast. He spent his younger days playing football and played for a number of popular teams across Belfast and beyond. He then married Margaret Carson (Margo) in January 1963, and then went on to have 6 children. There he would spend the rest of his days providing for his family and enjoying company with family and friends. He always give back to people and communities where and when he could, so I know that he would want his family to do all that they can to help the very people that cared for him in his final days.
