I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK

This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Walking With Purpose

Thursday 9th Apr

This May, I’m walking a mile every day for Dementia UK, and I wanted to share why this challenge means so much to me. Dementia is one of those things that quietly reshapes lives. It doesn’t just affect the person living with it; it ripples outwards, touching families, routines, memories, and the small everyday moments that make us who we are. For me, it’s something that sits close to my heart. I’ve seen how deeply it can impact the people we love, and how hard it can be for families to navigate the changes, the uncertainty, and the emotional weight that comes with it. That’s why I wanted to do something to help. Dementia UK’s specialist nurses are there for families during some of the most overwhelming and vulnerable moments of their lives. They offer guidance, comfort, and understanding when everything feels confusing or frightening. Knowing that support exists makes a world of difference. Walking a mile a day might not change the world, but it’s my way of showing up and honouring the people affected. If you choose to donate, please share the page, or even just take a moment to read this and think about the people in your own life who may be affected. Your support, in any form, truly means more than I can say. Thank you <3
