I'm walking 62 Miles in October
Back in 2018, my father-in-law, David, was diagnosed with dementia. Over the last few years, it’s been extremely hard on all the family to watch this cruel disease slowly take away his freedom to enjoy life to the full.
My mother-in-law, Sandra, is now his full time carer and I know how much support she has received from the admiral nurses who have offered guidance, care and hope during some tough times along this very sad journey. I am hoping to raise funds to ensure more families going through the same, get the help they need.
I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
