I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

About me and why I am doing this
Monday 17th AugThis means so much more to me than simply walking 31 miles.
I’ll be walking 31 miles to raise money for dementia, in memory of my beautiful nan, who sadly passed away in November 2019 after living with dementia.
Dementia is such a cruel illness. It doesn’t just affect the person living with it; it affects the whole family. It can slowly take away memories, independence and parts of the person you know and love, while leaving the people around them feeling helpless as they watch it happen.
For me, dementia isn’t just a word or a cause. It’s something I have seen up close. I watched my nan live with it, and I know how difficult and heartbreaking it can be for everyone involved. Every mile will be for my nan. Every step will be a reminder of her, the memories we shared and the person she was before dementia changed so much. My nan may no longer be here, but her memory is. For every memory dementia took away.
For every family affected by this awful disease.
For everyone currently caring for someone they love.
And most importantly, for my nan. ❤️
31 miles. One month. One very special reason.
This one’s for you, Nan. 🕊️ ❤️
