Walk 62 Miles in October 2026

I'm walking 62 Miles in October for Dementia UK

This October, I'm walking 62 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone.

I remember going for a walk with my Dad and asking him if he knew who I was, "no, sorry" was the embarrassed reply and then his genuine surprise to hear I was one of his sons. Dementia slowly takes away a person piece by piece, heartbreaking for their loved ones and terrible for those afflicted. With your donations they can provide vital specialist dementia nursing services, so more families can access life-changing support and live as well as possible, for as long as possible.

Thank you

Joe has always been wildly inappropriate, scary to think that his behaviour might exaggerate with the effects of Lewy Body Dementia. I can't think of anyone more deserving of your support than Fran and Joe, the kindest most selfless people you could ever have the good fortune to know.

62 miles is 2 miles a day, seems very achievable .. except that I work from home every day and barely move. If I can't fit in some steps during the week I'm going to be doing 25km every weekend, not a good idea
