I'm walking 30 miles in September - My Why x
Very moved by a recent podcast I listened to by Davina McCall & Dr. Sabina Brennan. I am also a Dementia Friend which I became when seeking knowledge & support as my Darling Mum battled symptoms of dementia & Alzheimer's due to a diagnosis & battle with Parkinson's for nearly 15 years 🥲🥲🥲
It is such an emotionally challenging & devestating disease for all involved- patient & carers, family & friends. But the research is growing, the knowledge is growing how best to manage & prevent & there but by the grace of God go I.
If there was a cause to walk for this is it for me this September- please support or run your own if you can 💕

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Tuesday 23rd Sep I have revised my fundraising target to £300... since achieving by first target through the incredible generosity of a handful of beautiful souls ❤️🩹🙏 7 miles left to walk over the next 7 days & I pray I & those I love never have to walk the steps my Mum & others suffering from dementia have. As we all age longer, not always treating our bodies with the respect & love they deserve this disease is definitely increasing in numbers diagnosed.... but with research & funding there is hope 🙏 ShareThank you to my Sponsors
