I'm walking 62 Miles in October

I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Day 13 of walking 62 miles in the month of October in Aid of Dementia UK!
My walk today was a lovely stroll over to Caerau before leaving for work to drop my friend Mr Brett James his gifts from my holiday☺️
Another 2.7 miles in the bank!!

I had a lovely welcome pack from the team at Dementia UK arrive whilst I was on holiday which consisted of a T-Shirt I will be wearing on the rest of my walks to raise awareness of Dementia. 
If anybody see’s me out and about feel free to give me a beep and a wave😃🚗

Thanks again to everyone for the support and donations to date.
I had to raise my fundraising target from £250 to £400 as thanks to everyone’s kindness and generosity I reached my initial target of £250 only 6 days into the month!
I have currently raised £300 for this amazing charity and now only £100 away from my new target of £400!!!!
Once I have completed my 62 miles I will be making a substantial donation of my own!!!!!

Day 12

Tuesday 14th Oct
Day 12 of walking 62 miles in October in Aid of Dementia UK!
Longest timed walk to date, most steps to date and most miles completed in one walk to date!!
My walk today consisted of walking around Marmaris to say goodbye to all my friends here as it’s sadly mine and lily's last day🥲🥹

Day 11 of walking 62 miles in October in Aid of Dementia UK!
A night-time walk today as myself and my lily were both slightly worse for wear from our boat trip today🥴🤪 
My walk tonight was a lovely walk around the marmaris seafront and main strip☺️
Would like to give a shoutout to my Lily who has accompanied me on every walk on this holiday what a treasure she is😊💖

Day 10 of walking 62 miles in October in Aid of Dementia UK!
My walk today consisted of a lazy stroll around marmaris it was also the longest walk to date at 3.29 miles!!

Thank you once again to everyone for the continued words of support, kind messages of encouragement and donations received to date.

Your love and support truly warms my heart as it’s such a great charity that does a lot of great work for people suffering with dementia and also offering support services for their families.

Tuesday 14th Oct
Day 9 of walking 62 miles in October in Aid of Dementia UK!

Fancied a bit of a challenge today so found the biggest hill in the marmaris area and walked to it and up it and back to the hotel!!
Slightly over 2 miles today my total walk was 2.81 miles added to the bank!!!

Thanks again for the continued support and to everybody who has donated to my fundraiser to support this amazing charity😊😌

Day 8 of walking 62 miles in the month of October in aid of Dementia UK!
My walk consisted of walking along the marmaris beach and boat harbour!!
Another 2 miles in the bank!!!

Day 7 of walking 62 miles in the month of October in aid of Dementia UK!

Another evening walk as the weather was atrocious in Marmaris this morning!!⛈️
My walk consisted of more gift shopping and a stroll down to the beach!!!

Day 6

Monday 6th Oct
Day 6 of walking 62 miles in October in Aid of Dementia UK!
Slightly worse for wear today from my birthday celebrations yesterday so today’s walk was at a slightly slower pace😆🥴
Today’s walk consisted of walking around the Marmaris main strip doing a bit of gift shopping!!
Also stopped to pet the most beautiful Belgian Malanois I’ve ever seen he was gorgeous🥹🐾

Day 5

Monday 6th Oct
Day 5 of walking 62 miles in October in Aid of Dementia UK!
Decided on an evening walk today as opposed to my usual morning walk!!
My walk today took me on the hunt for a bandana so my face doesn’t get stinking when we go on our quad bike and buggie trip on Friday!!!
Found a bandana and only £3.85 bargain😁
1 mile over target 3.02 miles in total in the bank!!!!

Day 4

Monday 6th Oct
Day 4 of walking 62 miles in October in Aid of Dementia Uk!
Anybody who has been to Turkey is awake of how many stray cats are about and anybody who kno’s me is aware of my love for animals!!
So my walk today consisted of walking around Marmaris feeding the stray cats with Lily☺️😻
Another 2 miles In the bank!!!

Day 3

Monday 6th Oct
Day 3 of walking 62 miles in the month of October in Aid of Dementia Uk!
As promised whatever the weather i will be out doing my 2 miles!!
First day of our holiday my walk this morning consisted of showing Lily around the main strip of Marmaris and as we anticipated the skys opened up!!!☔️💧🌧️
Another 2 miles in the bank!!!!

Day 2

Monday 6th Oct
Day 2 of walking 62 miles in the month of October in support of Dementia UK!
Cold morning this morning so a coat and gloves was needed!!
My walk this morning was just a brief walk around the Ely area, stopping multiple times to pet peoples dogs and cats (can’t help myself🙈) 
A little over 2 miles again today 2.3 miles in the bag. 
Id like to thank those who have sent kind words of support and encouragement the last few days it’s much appreciated. 

Day 1

Monday 6th Oct
Day 1 of walking 62 miles in October in Aid of Dementia UK!
My walk today took me to the vets to pick up prescriptions for the cats and to home bargains and Lild to pick up a few bits for the house!!
Was slightly harder walking back with a backpack full of vegetables but it’s all for a good cause!!!
Slightly over 2 miles today my total walk was 2.79 miles💪🏼
