Run 100K in February '26

I'm running 100K for Dementia UK

This February, myself and my Mum will be taking part in a challenge that means a great deal to us: running 100km to raise money and awareness for Dementia UK, in memory of my Grandad.

My grandad was an amazing person. He was kind, supportive, and always there for the people he loved. He left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He wasn’t just my grandad – he was a role model, a storyteller, and a constant source of love and encouragement in our lives.💝

Sadly, we lost him to dementia in January 2023, so by running 100km this February, we want to honour my grandad’s memory and do something positive in his name. This challenge is about more than just running; it’s about raising awareness, supporting families going through similar experiences, and helping Dementia UK continue their vital work. The specialist nurses and support they provide make a real difference to people living with dementia and those caring for them.

Every kilometre we run will be for my grandad, and for everyone affected by dementia. If you’re able to support, whether by donating, sharing this message, or simply learning more about dementia, it would mean so much to us.

Thank you for taking the time to read this and for helping us remember an incredible man while supporting an incredibly important cause.

Thank you 💝

Your grandfather was one of my favourite teachers at CH. I first met him when I was 11. Later as a member of staff at CH, I was always so pleased to see him at events. Good luck with your 100k!
