I'm walking 30 miles in September
I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.
An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

Why I'm Walking 30 Miles For DementiaUK
Tuesday 2nd Sep
This September, I’m walking 30 miles for DementiaUK—and every step is for my Mom.
She lived with dementia, and while the disease changed a lot, it never changed how much she meant to me. I walk to honour her memory, to carry her with me, and to support the incredible work DementiaUK does for families like mine.
It’s also a personal challenge. This year brought two surgeries and a challenging recovery. So this walk isn’t just about remembrance—it’s about resilience. It’s me saying, “I’m still here. I’m still moving. And I’m doing this with purpose.”
If you’d like to support, cheer me on, or just walk a few steps beside me (virtually or literally), I’d love that. Every mile is a tribute. Every donation helps someone's mom, dad, partner, or friend get the care they deserve.
Let’s walk with love. Let’s walk with strength. Let’s honour the memories that shaped us—and help others hold on to theirs.
