I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Hi all, my dad passed away two years ago on the 5th of September due to vascular dementia.

He was 76 years old, a man full of character, and you could hear him before you seen him 🥲 then over time he was no longer really talking and didn’t recognise you.

I remember the day, I asked him how he was today and he had a blank expression on his face. My mum said, “Do you know that man?” and his response was, “No.”

Not knowing your own family is hard to experience and seeing what this terrible thing can do to people. 

I just want to try and make a small difference where I can right now and walk 30 mile in September.
