I'm walking 30 miles in September

I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Challenge completed!

Thursday 2nd Oct
Hi all, Thank you to all of my kind friends who have sponsored me to undertake the Dementia UK walk a mile a day in September. I’ve managed to walk 84 miles during September, nearly 3 miles a day on average. Charlie is really pleased, he has loved his long walks. In total, including offline donations, I’m really pleased to share that I’ve raised a total of £260. Wow, much more than I hoped to raise and really pleased. This money will make a huge contribution towards dementia specialist Admiral Nurses, supporting carers on a one to one basis on the Dementia helpline. Something I was glad to use a few times while living with mom. Thank you for helping me to support this worthwhile cause with your donations. Thanks again. I’m very grateful to you all for your support. Maureen

Challenge Completed…

Hi all
I just wanted to share I’ve completed the 1 mile a day challenge in September for Dementia UK. I’ve walked a total of 84 miles,  nearly 3 miles a day.
I think I might have to keep up the walking, Charlie is loving going out 4 times a day.

I will share an update on the amount I’ve raised in the next few days once I’ve added some offline donations I’ve also received.
Thank you again for sponsoring me and the very kind donations you have made. This will make a massive difference to the charity and the support they are able to offer to carers, families and friends of those living with dementia.
Many thanks again,
Maureen
