I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Hi all, hope this finds you well and all set to have a good weekend 🙏💕 I'm Doing this to show support to somebody I care very much about. No names, I just sat down one day and really tried to put myself in their shoes, knowing how much they love and respect their mum, and knowing what the future holds for them both, and i couldn't, even in my wildest imaginations feel how they must be feeling. I'll try and make it fun, if anybody can even just spare a pound it will help me to help them, even if it's just enough to make them know they are "thought about". Research has come on leaps and bounds but our government won't fund it, they're too busy selling bombs and guns, but we as a people can do it, who knows? A cure could be found in our lifetime. I'm gonna do my best, please don't leave me hanging on a high five, I'll try and make it fun. Watch this space and give us a quid 😉👍✨️✨️✨️Happy days folks (each and every one is more precious than we know) 🙏✨️✨️✨️I’m doing this to show my support for somebody I care about very much. I won’t mention any names, but I sat down one day and really tried to put myself in their shoes. Knowing how much they love and respect their mum, and knowing what the future holds for them both, I honestly couldn’t, even in my wildest imagination, begin to understand how they must be feeling.

Sometimes life throws things at us that are simply too big for words. All we can really do is stand beside the people we care about and let them know they’re not facing it completely alone.

So I’m going to try and raise a bit of money to support them. It doesn’t have to be much. If anybody can spare even a pound, it will help me do something practical, but just as importantly, it might let them know that they are thought about, cared about and not forgotten. ❤️

Research has come on leaps and bounds, but there are still so many things we don’t understand and so many illnesses that desperately need better treatments and, ultimately, cures. I sometimes look at the money that can be found for bombs and guns and wonder what we could achieve if we put even half as much energy and money into saving lives instead.

But ordinary people can make a difference too. Who knows? Maybe a cure for something that seems incurable today will be found in our lifetime. I’d like to think so. 🙏✨

I’m going to do my best with this fundraiser and, knowing me, I’ll try to make it a bit of fun along the way. So please don’t leave me hanging on a high five! 😂

If you can spare a quid, give us a quid. If you can’t, a share, a kind word or simply keeping them in your thoughts means something too. ❤️

Watch this space... I’m going to give it a good go. 😉👍✨️✨️✨️

Happy days, folks. And remember, every single one of us is more precious than we sometimes realise. 🙏❤️✨️✨️✨️
