I'm walking 30 miles in September
I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.
Having experienced first hand the devastating effects of this disease with my Auntie Sue, we are now navigating the same difficulties with a other family member.
Any donation no matter how small can help go towards funding new research and supporting those suffering from this awful disease, as well as the friends, family and professionals who help care for them.
Thank you for your support x

Day 19
Friday 19th Sep A mile around Claregate Park cuddling all the dogs called Luna! 1 down 9.5 to go! Share
Day 17
Wednesday 17th Sep Little 1.5 mile stroll while Willow was at Beavers. 10.5 miles to go. Share
Day 15
Monday 15th Sep Still feel lousy and I'm scared I'll get blown away if I try to go for a walk!! Here's hoping this cold/flu/sickness things disappears over the next day or so and I can get back out there! Would be nice if it wasn't gale force wind and rain too! Share
Day 14
Sunday 14th Sep Well it's been a pretty miserable day today. I'm full of lurgy and even if I had the energy to walk today the weather has had other plans. Definitely feels like Summer has left us now! Hopefully normal service will resume soon 🤞🏻 Share
Day 11
Thursday 11th Sep Took full advantage of the weather and smashed out a 4 miler! Officially half way now, 15 miles to go! Share
Day 9
Wednesday 10th Sep Spent the day at hospital with Mum (she's ok) so no chance to go for a walk. Will be making up my miles over the weekend instead. 10 miles down, 20 to go! Share
Day 6
Saturday 6th Sep Today we were out celebrating a 50th Wedding Anniversary. It was lovely to catch up with people we haven't seen in a very long time, and also wish some people a fond farewell as they embark on a new life abroad. A late one tonight with the dog in town. Another mile down, 21 to go! Share
Day 5
Friday 5th Sep Nice sunny walk for a change today! Day 5 done, 2 more miles complete 22 to go! Share
Day 4
Thursday 4th Sep Thought I'd timed it for a break in the rain but I was wrong. By the time I'd been out 5 mins I thought stuff it it's only water! Managed two miles today but got cocky and thought I could catch Pokémon at the same time. The result was me accidentally pausing Strava at the end of my walk missing off the last bit of walk to take me over 2 miles. I did do it I promise!! Anyway, lesson learnt no more Pokémon while I'm logging a walk! 2 miles down 24 to go! Share
Day 3
Wednesday 3rd Sep Well, what fabulous weather we have had today!! Day 3 and I had 3 attempts at a walk and was twice thwarted by rain and thunderstorms. Still attempt 3 managed to dodge the ominous clouds and was actually quite sunny in parts! Another mile down 26 to go. Share
Day 2
Tuesday 2nd Sep Got out early this morning for a stroll. Went a little bit further than I had planned. Let's face it for those who know me I'll probably come down with some random tropical disease this month so I'll try and bank extra miles when I can to allow me to have rest days when needed. Enjoyed the fresh air and sunshine today. Share
Day 1
Monday 1st Sep Day 1 complete. After a failed attempt this afternoon when I got caught in a torrential downpour, then forgot to finish my Strava route and it tracked me driving home, I decided a walk in the sunshine was a better option! One mile down, 29 to go! Share
Almost time!
