I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK

This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

This is very close to my heart.

Dementia isn’t just about memory loss. It’s a complex condition that affects how a person thinks, feels, communicates, and experiences the world around them. It can bring confusion, fear, and frustration — turning even the simplest everyday tasks into challenges.

And it doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed.

Behind closed doors, there are loved ones, families, and carers showing up every single day. Repeating conversations. Offering comfort. Stepping into roles they never expected. Trying to keep life feeling as normal as possible… while quietly carrying the heartbreak of watching someone they love change.

For some families, this journey brings people closer. For others, it can be incredibly tough — bringing strain, distance, and emotional exhaustion. There’s no guidebook for this, just people doing their best through something truly difficult.

That’s why this matters so much.

This May, I will be walking 31 miles as part of a Dementia Challenge to raise awareness and funds for better care and support.

I’m asking, from the heart, for your support.

Your donation — big or small — will make a difference.

By sponsoring me, you’re helping provide vital care, resources, and hope to those living with dementia and the families who support them every single day.

Please help me support this cause.

Every step I take is for them. ❤️
