Walk 31 Miles in May 2026

Join the Facebook group for Walk 31 miles in May challenge.

I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK

This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone.
I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, I lost one of my Grandad's last year to Dementia, so I know the importance of raising awareness around Dementia and common symptoms...
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference!!
£33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you! ❤❤

My Updates

Thank you 💙 - And that’s a wrap!!

Monday 1st Jun

And that’s a wrap, 31 days of walking has amounted in over 111 miles walked during the month of May, thankfully most of it was filled with warm days or evenings.

Whilst I know it’s just a walk, I hope the money that we have raised helps to raise further awareness and support for Dementia and for those we have lost, I hope my grandad feels proud of me.

We also raised £119.00 + £24.75 of Gift Paid to a combined total of £143.75 so a massive thank you for everyone’s generosity, you know who you are. I do have some plans for a future charity in endeavour later in 2026, so Keep your eyes peeled 👀

So Close to the Goal: £99 Raised and Over 107 Miles Completed

Saturday 30th May
A little update just to thank everyone for your kindness and generosity throughout this month.

We've currently raised £99 of the £100 goal I set at the start of this fundraising journey.

And as of 30/05/26, we have hit over 107.6 miles, that's insane!

Over 60!

Sunday 17th May
A little update to let everyone know we have currently hit 63.6 miles for the dementia awareness fundraiser!

Over 40 miles!

Monday 11th May
Another Dementia UK fundraiser update.
So far up until yesterday I have hit just over 45 miles (45.8 ) to be precise.
The other day I went to the rescheduled Rationale gig celebrating 10 years of him as an artist, at the brilliant Outernet, prior I added to my step count by walking from Tottenham Court Road to Regent’s Park, whilst having a walk around the green area, before tucking into a biscoff cake and tea!
As well as the daily commute to work, I also recently participated in a Football quiz yesterday evening at Three Wise Monkeys! Which was a good evening.
Now to spend some time with my mum for her Mother’s Day gift from me!
Take care all xx

Progress so far

Monday 4th May
A little update on how things are going f0r my dementia fundraiser!
Since the start of the month, I have already hit '20.7 miles' - Some of that was helped by another promotion to the Premier League supporting my club Ipswich Town, so some of those miles might have been running the length of Portman Road Pitch, on Sunday I played a gig with my Samba Band 'Suffolk School of Samba' and that was fun. And today was the promotion parade, so plenty of steps walked there and back!

updates coming soon

Thank you x

Friday - 5.5 miles
Saturday 4.6 Miles
Sunday - 6.9 miles
Monday - 3.7 miles
