100km for My Nana

Sunday 1st Feb

I’m taking on a 100km run for my Nana and for everyone affected by dementia.

My Nana has always been the heart of our family. Dementia has changed many things, but it will never change how deeply she is loved. Watching someone you care about live with this illness is heartbreaking, it affects not just memory, but families, relationships, and everyday life.

This run is about pushing through discomfort and doubt, because people living with dementia and their loved ones don’t get the choice to stop when things get hard. Every kilometre represents the daily challenges, the emotional toll, and the strength it takes to keep going.

There will be moments during this run where I’ll want to quit. When that happens, I’ll think of my Nana and keep moving forward.

I’m running to raise awareness, support dementia research and care, and to honour my Nana, a woman who has given so much love.

Every share, donation, and message means more than you know.

This one’s for you, Nana 🤍
