I'm walking 30 miles in September

I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

I have just added all the extra pieces of part miles together that this app wouldn't let me do during my walks and was pleasently surprised to see I've actually managed another 11 miles. Still hoping to do a few more before the deadline. Thank you again for all my donations 

First week of 30 miles in a month challenge

Hi everyone, Firstly I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who has already sponsored me. The money will go towards helping people with Dementia as well as funding more research to be carried out. 
I chose to raise money for this charity because my husbands mum had Dementia and unfortunately this meant she only got to meet our first born once before she past away. It was so difficult seeing her deteriorate over a period of time. She would forget events and things that had happened as well as find it hard remembering future celebrations such as our wedding as an example.  I found it alot easier to cope with her repeating things and just went along with it but I can understand how hard this was for her children to see and manage. Dementia is such a cruel disease that takes away the person you knew so any help towards finding ways to slow down or even stop it would be my goal in doing this challenge. Thank you again x
