Walk 50 Miles in January 2026

I'm walking 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK

This January, I'm walking 50 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

My Little Dozy

Tuesday 23rd Dec
My Grandma, Rosemary (affectionately known as Dozy Rosie, given to her pre dementia by my son when he was little) was diagnosed with dementia 2 years ago. Watching her go from an independent, proud and intelligent woman to a frail, confused old lady that needs care, in such a short space of time, has been heartbreaking. Although there are many highs and good days where we laugh and she is very much living in the moment, the low days filled with confusion and living in the past are increasing, along with her care needs.
To raise some money for a wonderful charity that helps support many people and their families, going through the same as ours, would mean a lot.
I'd be grateful for any donations and will track my walking throughout January.

 Thank you xxx
