I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

30 Miles for Sharon

Tuesday 18th Aug

30 Miles for Sharon ❤️

This September, I’m taking on a personal challenge that means a huge amount to me — I will be walking 30 miles to raise vital funds for Dementia UK.

I’m doing this walk for my dear friend Sharon, who is living with the devastating effects of dementia.

What makes this especially heartbreaking is that Sharon is still so young, yet this cruel disease is affecting her life so quickly. Watching someone you care about face the challenges that dementia brings is incredibly difficult, and it has made me want to do something — no matter how small — to help.

So, I’m putting on my walking shoes and walking 30 miles throughout September, in honour of Sharon and for everyone else whose lives have been touched by dementia.

Dementia doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed. It affects families, friends and everyone who loves them. It can change lives in ways that are difficult to put into words.

I’m hoping to raise as much money as possible for Dementia UK, helping support the vital work they do for families affected by dementia and contributing towards a future where we can better understand, treat and ultimately fight this devastating disease.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to me. ❤️
