I'm walking 60 Miles in June for Dementia UK

This June, I'm walking 60 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Family with Dementia

Wednesday 20th May
Sadly we lost my uncle to dementia, my dad's brother. It is such a cruel disease, losing them over and over again before they pass with all the different stages. My husband mum and her sister have both been diagnosed with Dementia too. Ann, his aunt, is now in a care home, with his mum, Mary, currently on her own in a flat, and we are working with care teams to get her the care and support she needs. We live over an hour away, and neither of us return early in the evening from work, so daily care from us is difficult. Hopefully we will have some answers from the care team soon.
