hours of free helpline support from a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse

I'm making Time for a Cuppa

By the time you've made your brew, another person will have developed dementia. I'm going to bake, brew and raise vital funds for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £21 could pay for the telephone costs of four families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support. I am really grateful for any support you can give.

Thank you!

Why me and Nico are fundraising

Friday 8th May

Dementia is a cause incredibly close to my heart. Over the years, I’ve seen the heartbreaking impact it can have on families and the people we love most. Sadly, several of my own family members have suffered with dementia, including recently my husband’s lovely Nan Sylvia and beautiful Aunt Sue, as well as members of my Sicilian family.

That’s why fundraising for dementia support and research means so much to me. This time, I’m doing it alongside my amazing 4-year-old son Nico, who is already so excited to help people and “raise lots of pennies” for such a special cause. Seeing his kind little heart makes this journey even more meaningful.

Watching loved ones slowly change through this illness is something no family should have to face alone. I hope that by fundraising, we can help raise awareness, support families going through similar experiences, and contribute towards finding better treatments and, one day, a cure.

Every donation, no matter how small, truly means the world to us. Thank you so much for your support and kindness.
