I'm doing Winter Reading Challenge for Dementia UK

This winter, I'm reading and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Every Shift Reminds Me — Why I’m Supporting Dementia UK

Working as a Care Assistant, I see the real face of dementia up close. It’s not just a diagnosis — it’s partners worrying through the night, children losing the parent they know, and families feeling they’re navigating it all alone.
 
Dementia UK changes that. Their Admiral Nurses provide the specialist, compassionate support that makes such a profound difference — not just for the person living with the condition, but for everyone who loves them.
 
I’ve seen what happens when families have that support — and what happens when they don’t. That’s why I’m fundraising: so more families never have to face it without someone by their side who truly understands.
 
Every gift, no matter the size, helps fund more hours, more advice, and more hope. Please join me in standing with families affected by dementia.
