Queensbury and Flamborough Head Golf Clubs - 36 Hole Challenge for Dementia UK
On Wednesday 1st October teams from Queensbury Golf Club in West Yorkshire and Flamborough Head Golf Club in East Yorkshire are taking on The 36 Hole Challenge and raising funds for Dementia UK.
Sue Brown (Lady Captain at Flamborough) and Linda Marshall (Queensbury) are sisters who lost their Dad in 2022 to Alzheimers - supported by Liz Knowles (Lady Captain at Queensbury) to run this joint event and raise money to help all dementia sufferers.
Money raised means that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need.
£19 could pay for the telephone costs of five families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support.
£33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

WE DID IT!!!!
Friday 3rd Oct Queensbury set off on a windy, rainy typical Queensbury morning… brollies up for the first 18 holes! Then some lovely chilli, prosecco and buns, all donated…. Second 18 the weather improved and the seven ladies were joined by another 3 ladies to support - thank you!
