I'm walking 30 miles in September

I’m walking 30 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

My mum was diagnosed with dementia earlier this year and is now being cared for in a Nursing Home.

Thank you!

My Updates

First week complete

Monday 8th Sep
I have managed to get out for a walk every day for 8 days now, although I completely messed up starting my Strava today so I had to add the miles manually.  I'm hoping to do a much longer walk towards the end of September to really bump up the miles.
Thank you to all my sponsors.

A good start

Monday 1st Sep
Thank you for all the sponsorship.  I got up this morning and went out immediately for a couple of miles.

Dear Linda, one of the sad consequences of Catherine leaving us is I don’t get to see lovely folk like you, though I do drive past Ned’s, and think of the lovely times that were had there. I’m sorry your mum has dementia.. such a hard and lonely disease to navigate.. very glad to help you hit your target xo
