I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

I finished my final walk today on a beautiful pink sky evening, bringing my total to 35.2 miles. Only a little over the goal, but this challenge was never just about the number; it was about walking with purpose.

Thank you to everyone who donated. Together we’ve raised £646 for Dementia UK, in honour of the people I’ve known/know and loved/love who faced or are currently facing dementia with courage, dignity and strength.

With every mile, I carried their names, their stories, and the memories that remain so deeply treasured. This challenge has been a reminder that even when minds fade, love doesn’t. Families don’t. Community doesn’t.
