Walk 31 Miles in May 2026

Join the Facebook group for Walk 31 miles in May challenge.

I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK

This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Done it!

Monday 1st Jun
Day 31
done it 🙂
... we all here did something amazing for amazing people who are being robbed of themselves by this disease ....

It felt kind of strange wearing the t-shirt amongst the people to start with, but in the end I wore it with pride.

Nearly there...

Saturday 30th May
Day 28 & 29, walked the usual 1 - 1.5 miles. D 29, had  a screw inserted in my jaw for an implant, so spent the evening in a daze, no evening walk...
31 miles done on day 15, also reached my target of £100. .. Glad I was doing something to help people affected by Dementia...

Day 27

Thursday 28th May
Day 27
- already? 😉 ....Been a hectic and hot day, so only did a 'daily mile' ( & a bit), but didn' manage the evening walk with my daughter 😳 We like those walks, so are signing up to another fundriser together 🤞🍀

.... but first, this one- walking for DementiaUK (& thinking of everyone influenced by it).

Reached my target £100 (yes, lots of people did much more, but I'm chuffed for actually getting there 🙂). I also exceeded 31miles, just need to tally it up...

Good luck, and well done to everyone involved 🙂

weekend 16- 17th May

Monday 18th May
Saturday, walked round the Lanes, enjoyed the atmosphere 🙂 , on Sunday a walk in the park (literaly) with daughter & hubby. (Video on Facebook, impossible to load it here 🤔 ....) Big thanks to all the donors 🙂

walking 1- 3miles a day in May- for DementiaUK

Sunday 10th May
Reason to walk?
-my late dad, who loved to roam and ramble with OAPs as long as he could
-my mum who now has Parkinsons, and finds walkng tiring
-my late in-law aunt Stella and her "where's Ian?" at her son's funeral

Walking is the easy bit; trying to upload something here is the REAL challenge (don't remember struggling SO much last year for Children in need).... I can upload videos on Facebook, but here.... impossible. Sorry to everyone who views this fundriser.

sunday 3rd, walk around Brighton

Sunday 3rd May
Lovely, sunny Sunday  ☀️ took my daughter round Lanes and Pavillion Gardens in Brighton.  Got more tired from the sun and the crowds than the walk 😆

saturday the 2nd, second walk...

Saturday 2nd May
walk after the rain.... (even though some people thought I shouldn't because of my bad cold)... Enjoyed it with my teenage autistic daughter 🥰 ....walked about 1.3miles , our  usual route 🙂

.... not sure how to attach the video I took, or the app screen showing the distance, tho... 😐
