I'm walking 62 Miles in October
I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

Dementia Walk
Thursday 16th OctOne in three people born in the UK today will develop dementia in their lifetime. Research commissioned by Alzheimer's Society shows that around a million people in the UK have a form of dementia.
Dementia is cruel and as it takes the person away from their loved ones and everyone suffers
While there is no guaranteed way to prevent dementia, up to 40% of cases could be delayed or prevented by managing risk factors throughout life. Lifestyle changes such as a balanced diet, regular physical activity, and not smoking can significantly reduce your risk. Other important steps include managing cardiovascular health (high blood pressure, cholesterol, diabetes), protecting your hearing, preventing head injuries, and staying socially and mentally active.
Myself and my old mate Tosh are walking a marathon on the 25th October . I have walked 29.2 miles so far and started late in the month son it's going well. I plan on finishing the 62 miles when the marathon walk is done 👍
If you can spare any donation it would be much appreciated
