I'm walking 62 Miles in October

I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Dementia

Tuesday 16th Sep
When most people hear the word dementia, they immediately think of memory loss. While forgetfulness is often one of the most noticeable early symptoms, dementia is far more complex and affects nearly every aspect of a person’s life. It is not a single disease but an umbrella term that describes a range of conditions caused by changes in the brain. Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form, but there are others, including vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, and frontotemporal dementia.
