I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK
This May, I’m taking on a 31-mile charity walk for Dementia UK, a cause that is incredibly close to my heart.
Having recently lost a Grandparent living with dementia, and with two other Grandparents currently living with the condition, I’ve seen first-hand the profound impact it has - not just on those diagnosed, but on the families who love and support them.
Dementia can be a long and challenging journey, filled with moments of confusion, loss, and heartache, but also resilience and care. That’s why I’m passionate about raising funds to support the vital work Dementia UK does, providing specialist support for families during some of their most difficult times.
Every step I take is in honour of my GG, Grandma Margaret, Grandma Lil and in support of everyone affected by dementia.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
