Walk 50 Miles in January 2026

I'm walking 50 Miles in January for Dementia UK

This January, I'm walking 50 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

I went a little over converting my Km on the treadmill to miles but regardless I've hit my target and exceeded my monetary goal because of your support and donations!! Thank you again from the bottom of my heart it's truly appreciated

last leg, 8 miles to go!

Saturday 24th Jan
Just 8 miles and one week of January left! My dad had a birthday this week and has now taken a downturn 😔 Dementia is a cruel cruel disease and for families seeing their loved one go through this, its an emotional rollercoaster. He's being made comfortable and I pray he'll be at peace.

35 miles down!

Monday 19th Jan
I wanted to let everyone know how far I've walked/ran so far and to thank all of you for your contribution to my target. No matter how big or small your support really matters to me and to Dementia UK who continue to fight for funds to support those living with Dementia. This is a cruel disease I wouldn't want anyone to deal with, current statistics show that 1 million in the UK are diagnosed and living with Dementia and that 1 in 3 people will develop Dementia in their lifetime. The grief and suffering to those affected is infinite and the economic costs this disease brings is at an estimate 23 billion annually!
So please share my page/link with anyone and everyone to spread awareness and hopefully I can get a few more donations too.
On a personal note my Dad is sporting a huge purple black eye thanks to another fall and his emotions were everywhere. I did get a glimmer of his cheekiness this weekend and his eyes locked mine and looked into my soul as I changed his top. He still thought I was a staff member rather than his daughter but I'll take that connection in that moment.
