Dementia UK Fundraiser

Hello lovely humans!

I’m going to be walking 10,000 steps a day throughout June to raise money for Dementia UK - and all donations are massively appreciated! 🖤

So, why am I doing this?

Well, there are two reasons, really.

1) Dementia is something which has affected our family, just like it affects many others. The nurses at Dementia UK work to support dementia patients and the whole family around them, in the times that they need it the most.

2) My Dad (Jim Dowell) had originally signed up to do a cycling fundraiser for Dementia UK, next month - but he has ended up in hospital with a suspected heart attack. Although he is fine in himself, he is currently undergoing tests and is under strict instructions to take it easy ❤️‍🩹

And we can’t let a good fundraiser fizzle out - so please support me, in supporting my Dad and the rest of our family, and sponsor me as I march around in support of the fabulous Dementia UK, this June 🌸

I’ll document my walking journey throughout the month, and share weekly updates - some days I’ll be joined by Liv, others I’ll by joined by Mum and Kelly, and as I’m sure you can guess… the sausages will be front and centre of many of these walks 🐾

A donation of just £8 could cover the telephone costs of two people calling Dementia UK’s Helpline for expert, compassionate support from a specialist dementia nurse.
