I'm walking 62 Miles in October

I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.

An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

In 2020 my mum was diagnosed with alzhimers and dementia at 62years old she battled very very hard till the bitter end 
She lost all bodily functions in the end wasn't able to eat and drink safely had recurrent infections it stole my bubbly outspoken mum from us so quickly and slyly as each day passed 
She seemed stable for so long until September last year where she was admitted to hospital in January she was transfered to nursing home from her care home she got to spend one night there before she sadly passed away at 1030am on the 12th of January 2025 when I was 24 weeks pregnant she was so excited to meet my little one but unfortunately her mind and body just couldn't take no more 
I wasn't able to be there on her last days so I've decided after such a traumatic year 2025 has been that I will walk this walk in her memory
