I'm walking 31 Miles in May for Dementia UK
This May, I'm walking 31 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Taking part in memory of my nan💜
Tuesday 12th MayFor the people closest to me, you’ll know just how close I was to my Nan.
For many years, I had to endure the heartbreaking pain of watching my Nan go from the fittest and healthiest woman, both mentally and physically, in her 80s, to a shell of the person I knew and loved.
Nothing can prepare you for seeing someone you love suffer from this awful disease. She went from attending keep fit and Tai Chi classes in her 80s, volunteering to clean the church, and selflessly caring for everyone around her, to becoming someone you no longer recognised and ultimately someone who no longer recognised you.
Dementia is cruel. Dementia is heartbreaking. Most of all, there is still no cure, and far too many families continue to suffer the same pain that mine did.
We lost my Nan in November last year, and although she is now finally at peace, this disease ultimately took her from us.
I’m hoping that by raising money for this cause, families can receive the support they need, and that one day there will finally be a cure for this awful and soul destroying disease. 💜
