I'm walking 62 Miles in October

Hi everyone, my name is Katy and this October I will be taking on a very special challenge. With the help of my amazing support staff, I’ll be walking 62 miles throughout the month to raise money for dementia.


This cause means so much to me because my nan has dementia, and I see firsthand the impact it has not only on her but on our whole family. Dementia is a heartbreaking condition, and I want to do my part to support the vital work that charities do — from funding research to providing care and support for families like mine.


Walking 62 miles might sound like a big challenge (and it definitely is!), but every step I take will be filled with love, determination, and hope. With my support team by my side, I know I can do this.

Monday 27th Oct
As i approach the finish line this Friday , October 31st, emotions are running extremely high, This 62 mile walk for dementia, dedicated to my incredible , gorgeous , funny Nan has been more challenging then i ever imagined. Seeing her battle this cruel disease has been heartbreaking and it fueled every step , when when my legs ached and my spirits flagged.

The support that i have received throughout this month has been so overwhelming. Each donation every word of encouragement , has touched my heart and pushed me forward. Knowing that so many of you care about this cause, which is so close to my family's heart , has made all difference, There were days were i didn't think i could do it but all of your on going support kept me going.

I could not have completed this walk without the unwavering support of my family, who have been my rock, my dedicated support staff and my wonderful house mates who have cheered me on every day. 

Thank you from the bottom of my heart , 

Together we are making  difference in this fight against dementia.

Update on my Walk

Monday 20th Oct
As i continue my walk for dementia , now 68 miles in and £1402 including gift aid , i sometimes will find myself thinking on why i started this journey , and its more than just a walk it is a tribute to my Nan who is battling Dementia which is such a cruel disease. 

I am truly overwhelmed by the incredible support that i have received from my support team and my loving family that have been my rock , providing my the reassurance and encouragement i need to keep going even when my feet are screaming. Their love and belief in me makes all the difference.

I also want to extend a massive , heartfelt thank to everyone who has donated, your contributions are making a real difference and it means more to me and my family than words can express. Knowing you are all behind me is a huge motivator and it also reminds me that we are all in this together.
