hours of free helpline support from a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse
I'm making Time for a Cuppa
A couple years ago my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia, just as I'm sure someone you know or know of has too. I am her carer/ granddaughter and if anyone knows how hard it can be, it's the people around the person diagnosed. It's hard to watch someone you love go through this, so last year and now this year, I would like to raise funds for this amazing charity.
Last year was my first year ever doing a fundraiser so I'm hoping this year I can do more, and maybe have more than a week to plan! However even on such short notice we managed to raise £202.15!
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £21 could pay for the telephone costs of four families calling our free Helpline whenever they need support. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support.
I am really grateful for any support you can give whether it be that of a donation, just sharing and spreading the word or coming to the event.
