I'm walking 60 Miles in June for Dementia UK
This June, I'm walking 60 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Walking for my mom
Thursday 4th Jun For the past 14 years, my mum has been bravely living with dementia.Watching someone you love slowly change because of this disease is something that is difficult to put into words. Dementia doesn't just affect the person diagnosed, it impacts entire families, changing relationships, memories, and everyday moments that many of us take for granted.
My mum lives in South Africa, while I now call the UK home. Being so far away is never easy, but the hardest is returning home each year and seeing how much this disease has progressed. Dementia continues to take away little pieces of the person you love, and there is a helplessness that comes with knowing you cannot stop it.
This June, which is mum’s and also my birthday month, I have decided to walk 60 miles in support of Dementia UK.
I am walking for my mum.
I am walking for the families who are facing the same heartbreak.
And I am walking to help ensure that those affected by dementia receive the support, guidance, and care they so desperately need.
If you are able to, I would be incredibly grateful for your support. I am asking for sponsorship of just £1 per mile walked, but any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference. Every donation will go directly towards helping Dementia UK continue its vital work supporting families living with dementia.
Dementia may take memories, but it cannot take away love.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. It means more than I can express.
