Cycle 300 Miles in June

I'm cycling 300 miles for Dementia UK

This June, I'm cycling 300 miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. Just £8 can cover the telephone costs for two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Thank you!

Scrooges journey

Tuesday 20th May
Having been inspired by our daughter Lauren doing the sponsored walk I felt I needed to do my  bit to raise some money for families and people suffering with this cruel disease.

My dad was diagnosed with dementia back in 2023 he has Visio spacial Alzheimer’s  over the 2 years since diagnoses he has deterioratied so fast, this disease has taken away his independence he used to enjoy, he used to love nothing more than watching his favourite football team Lincoln City has been a season tickets for many many years although now he does not seem so bothered, he lived to go out with his mates enjoy a few pints and a good old moan, trips away to Benidorm and Yorkshire with my mum, loved to see his family and call us daily to moan shoot whatever he found to moan about in that particular day!  You take for granted all of these things but what we would all give to have the old Scrooge back!
