I'm walking 60 miles in September

I’m walking 60 Miles in September and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

My Updates

Day 22- 28 Another week flown past faster than I can keep up!

Sunday 28th Sep
I've had a few days off work today and have met up with lovely friends and had plenty of adventures.   I haven't had much spare time so I've only added 3 walks this week.
1.4 miles which is twice around Foundation Park
1.7 miles, once around Coate Water.
7.5 miles hurtling around the 3 counties showground before it got too busy.  (I'm not very people-y)  I had the BEST time.

This is the last full week of the Walk for Dementia.  I've reached 60 miles, I'm not stopping, I want you all to know that I've worked for every penny you have generously donated.   I will post my last update on 30th.

Day 21, I'm a bit impressed with myself. I wanted to share with you all

Sunday 21st Sep
Thanks to the support of a great friend, I managed 3 walks today. 2.8, 5.6 & 2.7 miles.
It was such a beautiful morning, I had to make the most of the day.

Day 16, 17, 18 & 20 it's been a week.

Saturday 20th Sep
It's been a week.    I've managed 10 miles in the last 5 days so I'm on target.
The evenings are drawing in so I've had to consider walking choices.
Two smaller walks a day instead of a longer one keeps me safe and on track.
Thank you for your continued support, smiles and feedback.   It all makes every step easier.

Day 15 - it's a bit blowy out there...

Monday 15th Sep
I had a busy day today but I managed 1.3 miles which, for anyone that's interested is twice around Foundation park.

Day 14 - a determined kind of day

Sunday 14th Sep
I have good days and bad days.  Some days I can walk far, other days I struggle to get out of bed.
Day 14 is a determined day.  I walked for those loved and lost.   I managed 8 miles.   Not a drop of rain.   Thanks for the umbrella of love.  xx

Day 13

Sunday 14th Sep
A busy day,  I managed to squeeze in  a 1.4 mile walk dedicated to Dementia UK.

Day 10 3 walks today. 3.7 miles 2.7 miles and 1.4 miles

Wednesday 10th Sep
It's amazing what you can do when your car is in the garage on your day off.   I was a little under the weather yesterday so I had some catching up to do.

The rain finally caught up with me and it got me twice out of the 3 walks.   Well played rain, well played....

I know that some are doing a lot more than I am.  I know some are doing less.
What matters is that every step counts, we are all pushing ourselves to the best of our ability.

day 8 1.5 miles today.

Wednesday 10th Sep
I've been very lucky with the weather.  I've managed two circuits of Foundation Park and no rain!  I'm not off to bootcamp.

Day 4 indoor walk today

Sunday 7th Sep
1.4 miles around the outlet village, while my friend shopped, I walked and didn't buy a thing.

Day 3, I did two walks today.

Wednesday 3rd Sep
I walked  2 miles to my friends house.  I picked up a walking companion and her two lovely dogs.  we then did a walk with them and I walked home.

Day two

Tuesday 2nd Sep
I took a walk at lunchtime today.   Avoided the rain.  I love a win
