I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK
This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.
Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.
Thank you!

Why I’m Taking on 30 Miles for Dementia UK
Sunday 2nd AugThis September, I’ll be stepping out of my comfort zone and taking on a 30-mile walk to raise money for Dementia UK.
If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll probably know that this is a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart. My dad is living with dementia, and seeing someone you love slowly change because of this cruel disease is something that’s very hard to put into words. It’s not just the person diagnosed who is affected – it changes life for the whole family.
Over the last few years, I’ve seen first-hand the challenges that dementia brings. The confusion, the frustration, the moments of sadness, but also the importance of patience, support and making the most of every good day.
That’s why I’ve decided to challenge myself. Walking 30 miles won’t be easy, but it’s nothing compared to what families living with dementia face every single day. If I can help raise awareness and a little bit of money to support the amazing work Dementia UK does, then every mile will be worth it.
Dementia UK provides specialist Admiral Nurses who support families through every stage of dementia, offering advice, reassurance and practical help when it’s needed most.
My fundraising target is £250, and I’d be incredibly grateful for any support. Whether you can donate a few pounds or simply share my fundraising page, every bit of support really does make a difference.
Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me already. I’ll be sharing updates as I train and complete the challenge, and I hope you’ll follow me along the way.
Here’s to 30 miles, sore feet, and raising as much money as possible for such an important cause. 💙
