I'm running 100K for Dementia UK
This February I’m running 100km for dementia.
I haven’t run properly in years, so this isn’t about fitness or heroics, it’s simply a way of doing something useful.
My dad, Kieran (Happy Feet), lived with dementia. Anyone who’s seen it up close knows it’s not something you ever really forget.
If running a few uncomfortable kilometres helps raise support for people and families dealing with that, it feels like a good trade.
I’ll be running for him.

Why I’m Running 100km This February
Saturday 24th JanThis February I’m running 100km for dementia.
I haven’t run properly in years, so this isn’t about fitness or setting records. It’s simply a way of doing something practical for a cause that matters.
My dad, Kieran, lived with dementia. Anyone who’s seen it up close knows how quietly demanding it can be, not just for the person affected but for everyone around them.
Running feels like a small response, but small, consistent efforts often add up. If covering the distance helps raise support or awareness for dementia, it feels worth doing.
I’m running steadily, not quickly.
That feels appropriate.
