I'm walking 30 Miles in September for Dementia UK

This September, I'm walking 30 Miles and raising funds to help ensure no family faces dementia alone. I'm taking on the challenge for Dementia UK, the specialist dementia nursing charity, and would be grateful for your support.

Your donation, big or small, makes a difference. £33 could fund a new dementia specialist Admiral Nurse to spend an hour helping a family in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support to cope with their loved one’s distressed behaviour.

Walking for mum

I have walked about 105miles in September for my mother in law who has dementia. We thought we were losing her in the summer but rather like Lazarus she has recovered very strongly after a nasty fall and a very serious virus. I have recently been diagnosed with PMR which is now being treated but the early part of the month was a struggle but I wanted to do this challenge for mum so I have persevered. This is a great scheme and I am only sorry I have not raised more money but things are tough at the moment with family issues but nonetheless I have completed my challenge.
