I'm walking 62 Miles in October
I’m walking 62 Miles in October and raising funds so that families affected by dementia get the specialist help and advice they need. I would be grateful for your support.
An £10 donation can cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.
Thank you!

My mother has Alzheimer’s. Luckily my stepfather is very caring and patient with her. I’m an ex nurse of nearly 40 experience. I know there are many people out there who don’t have the support needed. Mum is lucky. Others are not.

This is a wonderful idea, and I wish you all the best for the walk. My husband has dementia and Parkinson's and is in a care home. I visit every day, and the hardest part is leaving him there at night, it is heart-breaking. The dementia charities are so important and need all the help we can give them. Safe journey Joanne. X

Will be supporting you all the way, Joanne. We went through the dementia journey with my lovely Mum-in-law, who retained all the best parts that made her who he was, despite this cruel illness that tries to take everything. In fond memory of Elizabeth-May 'Elma' Hartley and your lovely Dad, Meyrick and for all those who are living with dementia daily and their families.
