I'm taking on the October Dog Walking Challenge

I’m walking 75 miles with my dog this October and raising funds for families affected by dementia. I would be grateful for your support.

An £8 donation could cover the telephone costs of two families seeking support through Dementia UK's free Helpline. £33 could fund an hour with a dementia specialist Admiral Nurse, helping a family with practical solutions and emotional support.

Thank you!

Saturday walk

Saturday 25th Oct
Well we have just completed a 3 mile walk but still got 18 miles to go 🤔🤔🤔
I’m away for a few days from tomorrow so it looks like I will be walking on my own but we will do it.

Obie even going out in the rain

Wednesday 22nd Oct
Obie is Cypriot & hates the rain ☔️ but we are even going out on rainy days which he hates 😂😂

Update

Saturday 18th Oct
So we only have 13 days left to complete the challenge and we have walked 43 miles so far this month so we definitely need to up our game over the next 2 weeks. Last weekend we walked over 18km( 11miles)
Not sure we will do so much walking this weekend but every mile helps.
Any donations no matter how small are very much appreciate.

Jo & Obie xx

10 miles this weekend.

Sunday 12th Oct
Due to a slow start to the challenge we wanted to push ourselves this weekend and managed 18.4km( 11.4miles) in 2 walks so we are very pleased with ourselves albeit shattered.

First walk …

Wednesday 1st Oct
Well it’s October the 1st and the start of mine and Obies challenge, unfortunately I’m in cyprus and Obie is in the uk so I took the husband out this morning along the seafront and we did 4km in 25degrees.

Me and Obie have just joined the challenge

Sunday 14th Sep
Dementia has not touched my life personally but I have friends that have been affected.
This will be a personal physical challenge for me and I know Obie will love it. All the while trying to get donations for a very worthy cause.
